A Little Reminder Before The Holiday Rush...

As we head into the holidays, I want to share a gentle reminder with you.

This season can be beautiful, and it can also be noisy.

Our feeds fill up with picture perfect family photos, matching outfits, elaborate tablescapes, holiday parties, gift guides, and “here is everything I got done this week” posts. It is really easy to start comparing your real life to someone else’s highlight reel.

Their traditions.
Their home.
Their schedule.
Their relationships.
Their “togetherness.”

If you are not careful, you can slip into the quiet narrative of, “I am behind, I am not doing enough, I am not enough.”

Here is the reframe I want to offer you today.

What if this was the connection season, not the comparison season?

Instead of scrolling and stacking your life up against someone else’s, what if you chose to reach out to one person who truly matters to you?

Not a performance.
Not a perfectly curated moment.
Just a real, human connection.

A text that says, “Hey, I have been thinking about you.”
A voice memo sharing, “I am so grateful you are in my life.”
A quick call where you say, “I miss you, how are you really doing?”

Comparison keeps you in your head.
Connection brings you back to your heart.

One will always make you feel like you are not enough.
The other reminds you that you already are.

So as the holiday content ramps up, I want you to remember this:

You are not here to keep up.
You are here to connect.
You are here to live a life that is aligned with who you are, not who the internet tells you to be.

Your Connection Invitation

Before the weekend is over, choose one person and reach out.
Someone you love.
Someone you have lost touch with.
Someone you appreciate and maybe have never told.

Tell them why they matter to you.
Tell them what you see in them.
Tell them they are not alone.

You will be amazed at how quickly that simple act softens the comparison and brings you back to what really matters.

Hit reply and tell me, who is the one person you are going to reach out to this weekend?

Cheering you on, always,
💗 Barb
