You Don’t Need to Know More People

We’ve been taught to believe that the bigger your network, the bigger your success. The more people you know, the better off you are.

But after two decades in sales and business, I’ve learned something different...
It’s not about how many people you know, it’s about how many people feel known by you.

That one shift changes everything.

Just last month, I got a message from someone I hadn’t seen in years. She wrote:

“Barb, I just wanted to say thank you. You always made me feel seen. You remembered things about me no one else ever did. I wasn’t just a name in your database, I was a person you cared about.”

And honestly? I hear this all the time.

“You always remember.”
“You follow up in ways that feel so personal.”
“You make me feel like I matter.”

And the truth is, I do. I care deeply. That’s not a tactic. It’s not a CRM setting. It’s who I am.
And I believe it’s exactly why my business has grown, not in spite of that, but because of it.

In a world filled with surface-level connection, depth is your greatest differentiator.
Anyone can send a birthday message or comment on a post.
But not everyone remembers that your son had surgery last month.
Not everyone circles back on the dream you quietly shared over coffee six months ago.

That’s the difference. That’s what makes people feel known.

And when people feel known, they trust you.
When they trust you, they stay. They refer. They advocate.
Because the relationship isn’t transactional, it’s transformational.

This work isn’t flashy. It’s not fast.
But it’s what builds true loyalty, real referrals, and lasting impact.

So here’s my challenge for you this week:
Think of someone in your world who wouldn’t expect to hear from you.
Someone you care about, but maybe haven’t checked in on.
Reach out. No pitch. No ask. Just care.

You don’t have to know more people.
You just have to let the people you already know feel seen.

Because people may not always remember what you did, or what you sold them...
But they’ll never forget how you made them feel.

And that is the Relationship Advantage.™

With heart,
Barb 💛
