A glimpse into my morning routine (and why it matters)

You know what question I get asked all the time?

"Barb, how do you stay so grounded, so energized, so confident, so connected?"

And let me tell you, it's not magic. It’s not a fancy planner, a secret formula, or some hidden strategy I’ve been keeping in my back pocket. It’s way simpler than that... but also way more intentional.

It starts with me.

Every single day, I prioritize myself first. Not in a selfish way, in a foundational way. Because if I’m not good, how in the world am I supposed to show up for the people in my life, my clients, my family, my community?

Here’s what that looks like for me:
☀️ Waking up early (yes, 5:30am—even when I don’t feel like it)
🚴‍♀️ Moving my body (Peloton + Cody = joy)
📓 Journaling with gratitude + affirmations ("I AM an author")
☕ Coffee. Always coffee. Sometimes 2 coffees. 😉
🧠 Fueling my mind with something that grows me
🥚 Eating a solid breakfast (High protein is key for me: two eggs + chicken sausage)
🙌 And staying intentional about how I connect, serve, and show up throughout the day

I say all this because so many people think confidence, clarity, energy—it’s something you either have or you don’t. But I’m here to tell you: you build it.

One choice, one habit, one morning at a time.

So this weekend, I challenge you to reflect on this:
👉 Where in your life are you waiting for someone else to come save you?
👉 What would happen if you took radical ownership of yourself?

Your confidence, your consistency, your connection with others—it all starts with YOU.

If this resonated with you and you want to hear more, I recorded a podcast episode this week breaking it all down—my full morning routine, the mindset behind it, and why it matters more than ever.
